ABOUT US:
When and Where?
We meet 4 times a month - twice at lunchtime and twice in the evening. Our lunch sessions take place on the 2nd or 4th Thursday of every month 12:00PM-1:00PM at 1 New York Plaza on the 43rd floor; our evening sessions take place on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month 6:15PM-7:30PM at 1 New York Plaza (Corner of Broad Street and Water Street) on the 43rd floor. See Map. Please contact one of the club officers if you want to come to one of our meetings as a guest.
What happens at a meeting?
There are three basic parts to the Toastmasters meeting: table topics, prepared speeches and evaluations.
Table topics involves extemporaneous speaking, where the speaker responds to a question that they find out on the spot. The Table Topic Master presents the topic, calls on an individual, and then that individual has 1 to 2 minutes to respond.
During the prepared speaking portion of the meeting, three Toastmasters members will give a prepared speech. Speeches are designed to meet the requirements of one of the projects in the communication manuals.
The evaluation session is where feedback is provided, not just to the speakers, but to all members. The evaluation session is headed by a General Evaluator, who calls on individual speech evaluators to give a 2- to 3-minute evaluation of an earlier presentation.

How do I become a member?
After attending a meeting as a guest, please see our V.P of Membership, Prakriti Gautam for an application form. It costs less than $100 a year (which is used to fund events, administrative costs, and supply new members with speech guidance manuals) to become a Wall Street Toastmaster member, with dues collected semi-annually. We hope that you join!
